I have to agree with Skip. For lower frequencies you should be fine with a stinger (by the way rob a stinger is a handheld attachment for an accelerometer point on one end, just thread it on on hold steady to what you are collecting data on). If you are interested in higher frequencies you can epoxy small pieces of "FLAT AS POSSIBLE" (to prevent accel rocking) pieces of metal to the floor and use mag-base or tap for thread mount. I did an ODS on a concrete floor that, belive it or not, the magnet stuck to. All I can figure is either the concrete had some kind of metal in it or the rebar grid was awfully close to the top of the floor.
