I have taken phase reading on an overhung fan and need help calculating the phase differences. I used a CSI cross channel method. What I’m unsure of is when the phase goes into the negative side. For instance axial inboard = -149 deg. .381 in/sec. Axial outboard =24 deg (I have to account for transducer orientation) .369 in/sec. Do I simply add 180 deg. To 24 deg to account for the transducer orientation giving me 204 deg? If so what then would my phase difference be?
