They always behave when you test them and then just laugh at you when the real machine turns.... The only real advice I can find is to carefully test the function on beforehand using all means available. I have a battery powered oscilloscope and take the signal locally and push a thin sheet with a reflective tape into the beam to simulate a shaft target passing. It usually helps locate the right setting. Also looking at the signal when the machine is barring slowly. Add a ton of patience and I am sure you will make it work. If there are specific hints on the Monarch, I do not know. I have one here and it has behaved well sofar. Try posting one the other places as well. Regards Arne
