The Vibration Institute is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the exchange of practical information on machines and structures. The scope of the Institute's activities also includes nonintrusive condition monitoring technologies. The Institute, which was established in 1972, has more than 3,000 members, 37 chapters, and a technology division - the Society for Machinery Failure Prevention Technology (MFPT).
